He happily tells us that “Now I know how to read a chapter book. That makes me feel smart. Right now in class I was doing a 6 page math packet and I finished in like 10 minutes – and it was all multiplication!”

His teacher, Mr. La, says that he “can repeat the skills and complete a task now.  He has the ability to work for longer periods of time.” When asked to rate him on a variety of skills necessary to succeed in school, Mr. La reported that before training, he was very low on all the skills. After training, he evaluated that he had progressed to average on almost every skill.

His parents also see those gains. They have seen him improve 50% in areas like: academics, listening and following directions, managing frustration, completing work independently and working with others.

BGC staff comments, “He listens a lot more. He gets started on his homework easier.”
